What to Expect:
The day begins as all children and counselors meet together for the Opening Assembly, which includes a welcome, songs, and skit. After Opening Assembly, counselors lead their small groups to move from different activity centers. Activity centers include Bible Story / Learning Games Center, Craft Center and Snack Center. The day will end in the Closing Assembly with singing and reflection of what they learn that day.
Code of Conducts:
Children participating in VBS are expected to respect their teachers and staff, and follow their instructions. Children are also expected to be courteous to one another. Violators of the code of conducts may be removed from their groups and/or activities. Parents may be called to pick up their child for persistent violations.
Permission and Waiver
- I grant approval for my child as filled in this form to participate in the Home of Christ in Cupertino VBS program and release Home of Christ in Cupertino, its board of Trustees, Elders, Deacons, Pastors, VBS Directors and all volunteers from any liability arising from my child participation. I understand the church provides accident insurance only as a secondary policy to any policy under which my child is covered. Consent is hereby given to Home of Christ in Cupertino volunteers to ask to give medical aid as required in case of emergency.
- I understand parents/designated guardians are expected to stay on church premises during VBS. It’s parents/designated guardians’ responsibility to his/her child’s safety during the program.
- I agree that any photos taken during the program may be used only for church purposes and may be published in church website.
- I agree to sign the paper of waiver on the first day of VBS at checking-in table.
