From: Bryan and Peggy Enderle - 10/30/2012 InterVarsity ministry at UC Davis FRI-SUN (NOV. 2-4) We are heading to our Fall Conference! Praise God for the 160 UC Davis students who are giving an entire weekend to strengthen their faith. As we interact with students on campus, we find ourselves having one conversation repeatedly. Many students are weary of "spiritual highs" from retreat experiences in the past. We are excited that Journey, with 4 tracks designed for different types of students, is full of practical actions based out of biblical truth that students can do after they come home. Pray for the post Journey outreach! A main theme for freshmen, transfer, and new students will be a call to embrace their identity as witnesses. We will be inviting students to participate in an outreach on campus that asks college students to consider using their money to change the world. Please pray for conviction to take new risks in witness. Pray for international students! We have 10 internationals coming to Journey! We are blessed to have Lillie start this ministry - it is obvious God has gifted her for this kind of work. She has welcomed students with hospitality and they are coming... so much so that sometimes there are not enough rides for those who want to come to the events. Please pray for the Journey attendees: Chih-Wei, Daniela, Daichi, Sally, Efrain, Sejung, Guanyao, Wai Ying, Kwangsu, Yue. Most of them do not know Jesus yet but are seeking! Pray for God's provision! Budget cuts and soaring tuition fees are making it harder for students to pay for conferences. Many students have requested scholarships and we do not want lack of funds to be a burden or a barrier.
