From: Alan Sun - May 12 Update Dear Friends, Wow, it has been quite busy on Mesa campus. From a staff perspective we are aiming to finish strong and within these past few days Serene and I have been meeting two-to-one with our leaders to review their gifts, challenges and calling them to growth for the next year. Up and Coming: May 14 Our last Tempo Large Group, Serene is speaking! May 16 Graduation and end of the year party for Mesa! May 17 Leadership party (worship, food, and remembering our victories) May 23 Spring 09 ends You might be asking what the summer holds for Mesa InterVarsity? Glad you asked =) We will be having summer bible studies every Tuesday for 8 weeks, there will be another option of a leadership cadre for a select few, and lots of praying for Mesa campus. Praise God we will be having two students, Blake and Chelsey, from Mesa going on missions this summer one to Mexico City and the other to inner city San Diego. Please pray for them as they will begin fundraising soon and for Blake he just became a believer this year!!!! What I am personally doing this summer in list form are: -Seminary with InterVarsity in Madison, WI -Wedding planning (wooohoo!) & attending weddings -Teaching the Summer bible study with Anna for our San Diego Area. -Possible worship/prayer nights with Mesa students that are still around -And getting involved in my local community somehow (I'm thinking elementary school yard duty?? haha) |
